Passages

The world keeps rolling on, time keeps marching on... it goes so slow, then seems to accelerate as the years go by. I now perceive time in a whole new light, a kind of blurry light from the speed of each passing day! My friends and acquaintances are leaving this plane of existence and going on a journey that we must all face, but one that is unknowable until your soul spreads its wings and soars. Appreciate your friends, make some new ones, do something nice for yourself, your family, and your friends. Tell all of these individuals that they matter, and are appreciated by you. Invest some time on things to improve your corner of the world, help someone out, give a neighbor a hand, pick up that old can on your walk, recycle that bag, turn off those lights that aren't being used. Take time to savor the dawn, admire the sunsets, look...smell...listen...take the time to be alive and aware, not just rushing here and there.
Take care.

Courage

I am thinking of all the men and women who have risked their lives, and their tomorrows to keep our nation safe. Our country has an all volunteer military, the most powerful one in the world. We expect these individuals to complete extraordinary tasks, with minimal support, and with very poor pay, yet we are surprised when things go wrong. Please, tell a veteran thank you, I appreciate your service and your sacrifices.

Knowledge and Skills

I often wonder why certain people have certain skills that they can do and how these gifts are used. Some individuals seem to have an innate grasp of thier skills and abilities but other individuals either have no sense of their gifts or they choose to either misuse or abuse their talents.
The gift of giving is so powerful and so fulfilling that it seems to me that anyone would be willing to share their talents and gifts with others but sadly, this is not the case. If everyone would only give a half hour of their time per month to share their gift with others, this world could be a better place. If you share your gifts and talents, you will enrich not only yourself but all the individuals that you touch, who will in turn share that knowledge and so pass this from individual to individual. By enriching the lives of others, and by sharing, you can enrich your own life. Be generous and share.
